Fortum Unit Launches Tender Offer for Elmera Group Shares

02:20 AM EDT, 08/21/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Fortum (FORTUM.HE) subsidiary Fortum Consumer Solutions formally launched a recommended voluntary cash tender offer for all outstanding shares of Elmera Group at 47 Norwegian kroner per share. The offer period runs until Sept. 18 and may be extended further at the Finnish energy company's discretion, according to a Friday filing. Elmera's board unanimously recommended that shareholders accept the offer. Fortum expects the acquisition to expand its Consumer Solutions business and improve its footprint in the Nordic consumer and small- and medium-sized enterprise electricity market.
