05:48 AM EDT, 08/20/2026 (MT Newswires) -- An asset management unit of UBS Group (UBSG.SW) is reportedly in talks as a potential cornerstone investor in Shein Global Holdings' planned $2 billion initial public offering in Hong Kong, Bloomberg News reported Thursday, citing people familiar with the matter. The Chinese online fast-fashion retailer is also in discussions with Boyu Capital, E Fund Management, Greenwoods Asset Management and Tiger Global for possible commitments in the share sale. Meanwhile, Tencent Holdings and General Atlantic are also considering potential commitments in the IPO, according to the report. Shein is targeting a valuation of between $26 billion and $27 billion in its listing debut, with at least $400 million worth of stock to be allocated to cornerstore investors, the report added. UBS, Shein, Boyu, Tencent, General Atlantic, E Fund, Greenwoods, and Tiger Global did not immediately respond to MT Newswires' request for comment.
