UK Regulator Allows Scancell Holdings to Launch Late-stage Trial for Advanced Melanoma Therapy

03:26 AM EDT, 08/19/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Scancell Holdings (SCLP.L) said Wednesday the UK Medicines and Healthcare Products Regulatory Agency granted a clinical trial authorization for a phase 3 registrational trial of its ImmunoBody iSCIB1+ in patients with advanced melanoma. The MHRA's clinical trial authorization follows the investigational new drug clearance from the US Food and Drug Administration, the clinical immuno-oncology company said Wednesday. The trial, which would enroll 550 patients with stage 3 or 4 unresectable melanoma, is expected to start by the end of 2026, with initial progression-free survival data expected in the second half of 2028.
