01:16 AM EDT, 08/14/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Barclays raised its price target for E.ON (EOAN.F), reflecting the German energy company's first-half performance and the integration of UK energy retailer OVO Energy. "E.ON's solid 1H26 delivery, better net debt and reiterated guidance support a small PT increase to EUR20 from EUR19 after incorporating OVO. While our relative-rating framework keeps us at [equal weight], German networks, policy momentum and OVO accretion keep the long-term story attractive," analysts said Thursday. For the six months ended June 30, E.ON reported a 1% year-over-year increase in adjusted EBITDA to 5.40 billion euros alongside a 5% rise in adjusted net income to 1.92 billion euros. The research firm said the group's adjusted EBITDA was "broadly in line" with Vara company-compiled consensus of 5.39 billion euros, while adjusted net income was 1% above the market forecast of 1.91 billion euros. Looking ahead, E.ON affirmed its full-year 2026 guidance for adjusted group EBITDA of between 9.4 billion euros and 9.6 billion euros, along with an adjusted net income target of 2.7 billion euros to 2.9 billion euros. Meanwhile, Barclays lowered its 2027 and 2028 adjusted EPS projections by 1% to 2% to account for the company's near-term integration and restructuring expenses outlook.
