06:42 AM EDT, 08/13/2026 (MT Newswires) -- BofA Global Research lifted its price objective for Daimler Truck (DTG.F) to 54 euros from 50 euros, saying it sees upside potential to the German automaker's current share price after posting "complicated" second-quarter results. "We believe that Daimler Truck's Q2 pre-release and results were, in aggregate, positive - but acknowledge moving parts in both directions: (1) US tariff deal improves competitive positioning and supports upside to 2027 margin consensus ests; (2) the cost of the agreement seems to be a new US factory albeit we est an attractive 1-2yr payback; (3) orders missed cons by 14% and underperformed peers, which we think could be mkt share loss in EU but likely just timing in North America (July strong); and (4) Mercedes-Benz margins remained weak (guided low for Q3 too), a drag on our US-oriented thesis," the research firm said Wednesday. Against this backdrop, analysts also updated their earnings forecasts for 2026 through 2028, including higher group adjusted EBIT forecasts for all three years. Group revenue and adjusted EPS for 2026 were bumped down, while estimates for 2027 and 2028 were raised. The buy rating on the stock was reiterated. BofA also noted the possibility of further positive earnings revisions for 2027.
