Alstom Bags EUR270 Million Locomotives Deal with Australian State

03:04 AM EDT, 08/04/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Alstom (ALO.PA) secured a 270 million-euro contract to supply 25 additional X'trapolis 2.0 trains to the Australian state of Victoria. The French rail and transport equipment company said Tuesday that the latest order brings the total number of trains to be delivered to the Victorian government to 50 under the initial contract signed in 2021. The trains will be built at the company's facility in Victoria.
