The recent price decline of 14% in Critical Resources Limited's (ASX:CRR) stock may have disappointed insiders who bought AU$634.9k worth of shares at an average price of AU$0.0087 in the past 12 months. Insiders purchase with the hope of seeing their investments increase in value over time. However, due to recent losses, their initial investment is now only worth AU$438.8k, which is not great.

While insider transactions are not the most important thing when it comes to long-term investing, logic dictates you should pay some attention to whether insiders are buying or selling shares.

The Last 12 Months Of Insider Transactions At Critical Resources

Over the last year, we can see that the biggest insider purchase was by Non-Executive Chairman of the Board Bilal Ahmad for AU$365k worth of shares, at about AU$0.008 per share. So it's clear an insider wanted to buy, even at a higher price than the current share price (being AU$0.006). Their view may have changed since then, but at least it shows they felt optimistic at the time. In our view, the price an insider pays for shares is very important. Generally speaking, it catches our eye when insiders have purchased shares at above current prices, as it suggests they believed the shares were worth buying, even at a higher price.

Critical Resources insiders may have bought shares in the last year, but they didn't sell any. The chart below shows insider transactions (by companies and individuals) over the last year. If you want to know exactly who sold, for how much, and when, simply click on the graph below!
