08:28 AM EDT, 07/30/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Berenberg kept ASM International (ASM.AS), or ASMI, at buy, following the company's "strong set" of second-quarter results amid the favorable semiconductor equipment environment. The Dutch semiconductor wafer processing company reported second-quarter revenue of 1 billion euros, up from 835.6 million euros a year ago. ASMI also expects second-half revenue to grow by more than 20% compared with the first half, which Berenberg said implies a full-year revenue of 4.1 billion euros, "slightly higher" than the consensus estimate of 4 billion euros, according to a Thursday research note. The research firm also noted the company's upgraded 2027 revenue outlook, now expected to exceed the top end of the 3.7 billion-euro to 4.6 billion-euro target range it provided in September 2025. "During the conference call, management was highly positive regarding demand levels, citing customers' early purchasing plans for 2027, and even into 2028 for some customers. In our view, the message confirms that the 2027 and near-term wafer fabrication equipment (WFE) spending outlook is positive, which was expected," analysts said. As such, Berenberg raised its price target for ASMI to 1,140 euros from 1,015 euros. The company sales, EBIT, and EPS projections were also increased across the three-year period.
