EQT Further Sweetens Indicative Takeover Offer for Australian Wealth Manager Perpetual Ltd

11:16 PM EDT, 07/26/2026 (MT Newswires) -- EQT's (EQT.ST) Windflower increased its indicative takeover proposal for Australia-listed wealth manager Perpetual Ltd. to AU$22.50 per share. The Swedish private equity group initially offered AU$21.64 per share for Perpetual, and then raised the proposal to AU$22.07 per share, according to a Monday release. Perpetual Ltd. is assessing the latest proposal with its advisers and is yet to form an opinion on the matter. The offer is subject to the sale of the target's wealth management business to Bain Capital and receipt of relevant regulatory approvals, among other conditions.
