AXichem's Salmonella-inhibiting Chicken Feed Additive Gets EU Agency Backing

10:01 AM EDT, 07/24/2026 (MT Newswires) -- AXichem (AXIC-A.ST) received a positive scientific opinion from the European Food Safety Authority for its application to market phenylcapsaicin as a Salmonella-inhibiting additive in chicken feed across the European Union. The European Commission, which normally follows the EFSA's opinion, will now make a formal decision on the matter in consultation with the EU Member States, according to a Friday release. The biochemical company expects final formal approval from the commission by the end of 2026.
