EU Medicines Agency Backs Approval for Menarini's Ubeslo to Treat Cholesterol Disorders

07:49 AM EDT, 07/24/2026 (MT Newswires) -- The European Medicines Agency's Committee for Medicinal Products for Human Use recommended a marketing authorization for Menarini Group's Ubeslo to treat primary hypercholesterolaemia or mixed dyslipidaemia. The positive recommendation for the medicinal product, which has obicetrapib as active substance, is backed by two 52-week randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled studies in adults that showed it lowers low-density lipoprotein cholesterol, according to a Friday release.
