07:40 AM EDT, 07/24/2026 (MT Newswires) -- The European Medicines Agency's Committee for Medicinal Products for Human Use recommended the approval of Accord Healthcare's Tafamidis Accord, a generic of Vyndaqel. Tafamidis Accord, available as 61-milligram capsules containing the active substance tafamidis, is intended for the treatment of hereditary transthyretin amyloidosis in adult patients with cardiomyopathy, according to a Friday notice. The European Commission will now decide whether to grant a marketing authorization for the pharmaceutical company's generic drug.
