Cessatech Says EU Committee Adopts Negative Opinion on Pediatric Pain Treatment

03:35 AM EDT, 07/24/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Cessatech (CESSA.CO) said the European Medicines Agency's Committee for Medicinal Products for Human Use adopted a negative opinion on Proveca's marketing authorization application for the pediatric use of its acute pain treatment, CT001/KemSu. The British pharmaceutical company Proveca, which is Cessatech's commercialization partner for KemSu, plans to request a re-examination of the opinion, the Danish pediatric specialty company said Friday. The companies intend to engage constructively with the agency during the re-examination process to address the concerns raised by the committee. Cessatech, however, noted that the process could take "several months."
