Sanofi to Discontinue Clinical Development of Atopic Dermatitis Drug Amlitelimab

01:55 AM EDT, 07/24/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Sanofi (SAN.PA) said Friday it will discontinue the clinical development of amlitelimab after it determined that the atopic dermatitis drug candidate did not show "meaningful improvement" over the standard of care for patients. As such, the French pharmaceutical company will not submit the drug, an OX40-ligand monoclonal antibody, for global regulatory reviews. Sanofi added that the decision is part of the ongoing assessment of its pipeline. The group intends to present data from the amlitelimab development program in atopic dermatitis at a forthcoming medical meeting.
