BB Biotech Turns to H1 Profit; Operating Income Surges

Profit for the six months ended June 30 was 429.8 million francs, compared with a loss of 341.2 million francs a year ago. EPS totaled 7.79 francs, compared with a loss per share of 6.24 francs. The Swiss biotechnology investor's operating income was 451.5 million francs, compared with 1.8 million francs earlier.
