The rating agency said Thursday the transaction is expected to improve the Hungary-based lender's risk profile and financial performance. The deal involves the purchase of Luminor Holding, the parent company of Luminor Bank. Moody's also affirmed the Baa1/P-2 long- and short-term local and foreign currency deposit ratings of OTP, as the acquisition is projected to boost the bank's assets upon expected completion in 2027.
