Fresnillo Posts Lower H1 Silver, Gold Production; Lead, Zinc Outputs Grow

02:18 AM EDT, 07/22/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Fresnillo (FRES.L) reported Wednesday that total silver and gold output decreased in the first half, while production of lead and zinc increased year over year. In the six months ended June 30, the precious metals mining company's total silver production was 22 million ounces, compared with 24.9 million ounces in the prior-year period. Gold output decreased to 290,885 ounces from 313,840 ounces. On the other hand, the company's lead output during the comparable period rose to 32,828 tonnes from 30,182 tonnes, while zinc production grew to 53,798 tonnes from 53,651 tonnes. For full-year 2026, Fresnillo affirmed production guidance of 42 million ounces to 46.5 million ounces for attributable silver, 500,000 ounces to 550,000 ounces for attributable gold, 54,000 tonnes to 59,000 tonnes for attributable lead, and 85,000 tonnes to 95,000 tonnes for attributable zinc. The company also maintained its production outlook for 2027 and 2028.
