Deme Group Bags Contract to Install Foundation at Dutch Wind Project

02:24 AM EDT, 07/20/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Belgian engineering services group Deme Group (DEME.BR) secured a contract to transport and install the foundations for phase one of the Zeevonk offshore wind project in the Netherlands, according to a Monday release. The contract, labeled "substantial" by the company, covers the intermediate transport of monopiles, marshalling services for primary and secondary steel, transport and installation of 69 monopile foundations, and the installation of a filter layer for scour protection. Jointly owned by Vattenfall and Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners, the project will have an installed capacity of 1 gigawatt. Offshore construction on the project, which remains subject to a final investment decision, is expected to start in 2028. The company values a substantial contract at between 150 million euros and 300 million euros.
