Total Graphite Pauses Production at Vatomina Project in Madagascar Amid Optimization Program

04:04 AM EDT, 07/17/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Total Graphite (TGR.L) paused production at its Vatomina graphite project in Madagascar after a technical review found more geological information was required to refine mine planning and optimize future production. The UK-listed flake graphite company plans to resume production above 1,000 tonnes per month in December, subject to drilling progress, according to a Friday release. The company launched a portfolio optimization program of its operations and development priorities in June.
