Saab Books SEK8.7 Billion Order from TKMS to Equip New Frigates

06:38 AM EDT, 07/16/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Saab (SAAB-B.ST) secured an 8.7 billion-krona order from German shipbuilder TKMS (TKMS.F) to deliver and integrate combat systems, composite structures and sensors on four new frigates for the German Navy. The Swedish defense and security company will equip MEKO A-200 DEU class frigates, with deliveries scheduled between 2029 and 2032, according to a Thursday release. The contract includes an option for Saab to equip more frigates for TKMS.
