Cryptocurrency analyst Ali Martinez poked fun at American Bitcoin Corp. (NASDAQ:ABTC) co-founder Eric Trump’s bullish Ethereum (CRYPTO: ETH) post on Monday, just as the second-largest cryptocurrency experienced a sharp rally.
Martinez posted an ETH weekly chart on X, overlaying several of Trump’s earlier bullish posts.
The chart illustrated that after Trump famously posted “It’s a great time to add ETH” in February 2025, the asset dropped 52%. Similarly, since his July 2025 post in which he “agreed” that ETH should be trading at $8,000, the coin has fallen 61%.
Martinez then turned attention to the most recent post, where Trump said, “ETH is pumping hard! Great to see! Crypto is the future…"
Since then, ETH has spiked nearly 5%, prompting Martinez to crack a cheeky remark, “Did Trump just time the bottom? LEGEND!”
Trump’s bullish posts on ETH have become meme fodder on X, sparking criticism and mockery directed at his advocacy.
Martinez spotlighted a new bullish flip on Ethereum’s SuperTrend indicator, with two previous such signals preceding “bull rallies of 72% and 177%.”
Technical analyst and trader Ardi said that ETH neared its “biggest moment of this bear market,” with the ETH/BTC ratio testing a 12-month downtrend line.
“Every attempt at breaking this resistance since last August has failed. And that’s exactly what would make a break here significant,” Ardi said. “If we get it, the ratio bottom for this cycle is likely in.”
Price Action: At the time of writing, ETH was exchanging hands at $1,865.17, up 4.67% in the last 24 hours, according to data from Benzinga Pro.
