AkzoNobel's Russian Units Placed Under Temporary External Administration

10:59 AM EDT, 07/13/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Russian President Vladimir Putin placed AkzoNobel's (AKZA.AS) Russian subsidiaries under temporary external administration, the Dutch paints and coatings maker said Monday. AkzoNobel said it is reviewing the decree and assessing its implications, while noting that Russia represents less than 2% of the company's revenue. The decree transfers operational oversight of the subsidiaries to a designated external entity, but the underlying ownership remains unchanged, AkzoNobel added.
