Italy's Monthly Industrial Output Down 0.3% in May

04:10 AM EDT, 07/10/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Italy's seasonally adjusted industrial production edged down 0.3% month over month in May, after a revised 0.4% rise in April, statistics agency Istat said Friday. Analysts expected a 0.1% downtick for the month. On a yearly basis, the calendar-adjusted industrial output rose 1.1%, against the revised 1.1% gain earlier and the consensus estimate of a 1.3% increase.
