EU Regulator Grants Tier 1 Recognition to Nasdaq Dubai, Dubai Clear

03:25 AM EST, 01/07/2026 (MT Newswires) -- The European Securities and Markets Authority granted Tier 1 Third-Country Central Counterparty recognition to Nasdaq Dubai and Dubai Financial Market's Dubai Clear. Effective Dec. 31, 2025, Nasdaq Dubai and Dubai Clear became the only central counterparties in the Middle East and North Africa region to obtain Tier 1 status from the European regulator, according to a Wednesday release. The designation allows both entities to attract market participants and institutions from European Union countries as clearing members.
