AB InBev to Repurchase 50% Stake in US-based Metal Container Plants for $3 Billion

02:23 AM EST, 01/06/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Anheuser-Busch InBev (ABI.BR, ANH.JO), d/b/a AB InBev, exercised the repurchase option for a 49.9% stake in its US-based metal container plants. The stake will be repurchased from the Apollo Global Management-led consortium of institutional investors for $3 billion, according to a Tuesday release. Closing of the deal is expected in the first quarter of 2026, subject to customary closing conditions. The drink and brewing company expects the transaction to be accretive to its EPS in the first year.
