05:49 AM EST, 01/05/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Eni (ENI.MI) formed a new company, Eni Industrial Evolution, to hold the management of its traditional assets, refineries and depots, in Europe and the Middle East. With the move, the Italian energy group plans to simplify and accelerate processes for a fully decarbonized energy offering, both in production processes and to its consumers, according to a Monday release. Under the restructuring, Eni on Jan. 1 transferred its refining evolution and transformation business to Eni Industrial Evolution. The new entity will hold the refineries of Sannazzaro de' Burgondi in Pavia and Taranto, the stake in the Milazzo Refinery joint venture and the Livorno refinery, the Robassomero plant, the Research Center South in San Filippo del Mela, and shareholdings in Ecofuel and Costiero Gas Livorno. Licenses and authorizations for the processing of raw materials and semi-finished products, and contracts to handle the reception, storage, and delivery of products will also be transferred to the new entity.
