12:40 AM EST, 01/04/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Saudi Arabia's Minister of Finance Mohammed Abdullah Aljadaan authorized the kingdom's 2026 annual borrowing plan, according to a Jan. 3 release. The plan involves projected funding needs worth 217 billion Saudi riyals, which will be used to cover an expected 165 million-riyal budget deficit, as well as repay maturing debt worth 52 billion riyals for the year.
