Shuka Minerals Extends Deadline for Purchase of Leopard Exploration, Kabwe Mine

06:17 AM EST, 01/02/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Shuka Minerals (SKA.L, SKA.JO) extended the long-stop date for its proposed acquisition of Zambia-based Leopard Exploration and Mining, as well as the Kabwe zinc mine, to Jan. 15. The extension comes after Gathoni Muchai Investments verbally advised that funds for the remaining tranches to acquire 100% of the targets would be provided in the week starting Jan. 5, according to a Friday release. The mine operator and developer paid the initial tranche in November 2025 for a 22.2% stake under the conditional share purchase agreement announced in December 2024.
