Maurel & Prom SA Gets Regulatory Nod for 61% Working Interest in Colombian Gas License

02:37 AM EST, 12/29/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Maurel & Prom SA (MAU.PA) secured approval from Colombia's National Hydrocarbons Agency for the purchase of a 61% working interest and operatorship in the Sinu-9 gas licence in Colombia. The French oil and gas company will buy a 40% and 21% working interest from MKMS Enerji Anonim Sirketi and Desarrolladora Oleum and Clean Energy Resources, respectively, according to a Monday release. The deal is now subject to other customary closing conditions. Maurel & Prom added that it will pay $78 million of the total outstanding consideration of $185 million at closing and the remainder in installments in 2026.
