Acwa Power Lands $400 Million Contract for Desalination Plant in Azerbaijan

01:15 AM EST, 12/28/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Acwa Power (SASE:2082) secured a contract worth $400 million from the Azerbaijan State Water Resources Agency for the development of the country's first large-scale seawater reverse osmosis desalination plant. The Saudi utility company will have complete ownership of the Caspian Sea Water Desalination Plant, according to a Sunday release. The deal for its design, construction, financing, ownership, operation, and maintenance spans 27.5 years.
