Ion Beam Applications Bags Proton Therapy System Contract in South Korea

01:37 AM EST, 12/26/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Ion Beam Applications (IBAB.BR), or IBA, secured a contract to install a three gantry-room Proteus Plus proton therapy system for cancer treatment at a hospital in South Korea. The contract with the Catholic University of Korea, Seoul St. Mary's Hospital includes a multi-year service and maintenance deal, the Belgium-based particle accelerator technology company said in a Friday release. The contract is worth between 80 million euros and 100 million euros. The hospital's eight-floor treatment center is expected to begin operations by the end of 2029.
