EQT's Fund to Acquire Swedish Rail Link Operator A-Train

02:27 AM EST, 12/22/2025 (MT Newswires) -- EQT's (EQT.ST) EQT Active Core Infrastructure I fund agreed to acquire A-Train AB, the operator of the high-speed rail link between Stockholm and the Arlanda airport in Sweden, according to a Monday release. Under the deal, which requires regulatory approvals, including a consent from the state-owned Arlandabanan Infrastructure, the private equity giant would support A-Train's ongoing 3 billion-krona investment program by introducing a new train fleet by 2030. A-Train operates under a public-private-partnership concession with the state, which provides long-term rights for the rail link and to operate the Arlanda express shuttle service until 2050.
