Sanofi Agrees to Lower US Prices in Exchange for Tariff-free Period

11:26 PM EST, 12/21/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Sanofi (SAN.PA, SANNV.PA) reached an agreement with the US presidential administration to lower the prices of certain drugs in exchange for a tariff-free period. The French biopharmaceutical company stated in a Dec. 19 release that the confidential agreement meets all four requests outlined in President Donald Trump's July 31 letter. The company will lower prices for state Medicaid programs and for direct-to-patient sales platforms. Sanofi said the agreement includes a three-year relief from Section 232 tariffs on imported products.
