05:22 AM EST, 12/21/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Italy's Supreme Court ruled in favor of Telecom Italia (TIT.MI) as it upheld the Court of Appeal's April 2024 ruling regarding a concession license fee dispute. The court rejected the Presidency of the Council of Ministers' appeal. The company added that the Court of Cassation also confirmed the 1998 license fee's refund, according to a Dec. 20 release. As such, the Italian telecommunications company is expected to receive over 1 billion euros from the dispute, which consists of the original 500 million-euro fee, as well as the accrued interest and revaluation.
