Axfood Secures Automation Equipment for New Logistics Center in Sweden

07:55 AM EST, 12/19/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Axfood (AXFO.ST) said Friday that it signed a deal with Germany-based Witron, securing automation equipment supply for the former's new logistics center in Kungsbacka, Sweden. The Swedish grocery store chain operator's total contracted investment in the 90,000-square-meter facility is expected to reach 265 million euros, to be spread between 2026 and 2031. The facility is expected to be operational and ramped up in 2030.
