Peab Starts Foundation, Framework Work at Umeå Laboratory Facilities in Sweden

03:26 AM EST, 12/19/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Peab (PEAB-B.ST) said Friday it started the foundation and framework at the new laboratory facilities at Umeå University Hospital in Sweden, following completion of the planning and design phase. The Swedish builder noted that the project is under a turnkey contract worth 180 million kronor with the Swedish healthcare body Region Västerbotten, and demolition and groundwork are underway. The framework for the construction of the 26,500 square-meter facilities will be carried out in 2026, with completion targeted for 2029.
