UK's Monthly Retail Sales Fall 0.1% in November

02:19 AM EST, 12/19/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Britain's monthly retail sales declined 0.1% in November after a revised 0.9% drop in October, according to data from the Office for National Statistics published Friday. Analysts expected a 0.3% uptick for the month, according to Investing.com data. On a yearly basis, UK retail sales rose 0.6%, in line with the revised previous growth and against the market forecast of a 1.6% increase. Excluding automotive fuel, retail sales were down 0.2% month over month and up 1.2% annually, following the revised earlier decline of 0.8% and previous 1.6% growth, respectively. The figures compare with the consensus estimates of a 0.2% monthly gain and a 1.6% yearly increase.
