BP Appoints Woodside Energy CEO to Same Role

11:17 PM EST, 12/17/2025 (MT Newswires) -- BP (BP.L) said Wednesday it appointed Woodside Energy Chief Executive Officer Meg O'Neill as successor to CEO Murray Auchincloss. Auchincloss's resignation will take effect on Thursday, while O'Neill will formally assume her new role on April 1, 2026. Auchincloss will transition to an advisory role at the oil and gas giant until December 2026. In the meantime, Carol Howle, BP's executive vice president of supply, trading & shipping, will serve as interim CEO.
