BBVA Plans Early Redemption of EUR1 Billion Green Convertible Securities

03:19 AM EST, 12/17/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Banco Bilbao Vizcaya Argentaria (BBVA.MC), d/b/a BBVA, announced an early redemption of 1 billion euros of green preferred securities contingently convertible into ordinary shares. The Spanish lender said Wednesday the securities, issued in July 2020, will be redeemed on the first reset date of Jan. 15, 2026. The redemption price per security will be 203,000 euros, along with any accrued and unpaid interest.
