Payments Group Denounces Defamation Campaign by SGT Capital

12:33 AM EST, 12/17/2025 (MT Newswires) -- The Payments Group (PGH.F) is facing a "covert defamation campaign" and unauthorized investigation attempts from SGT Capital Group and its lawyers. SGT's partners have sent numerous letters to Germany's Federal Financial Supervisory Authority, or BaFin, Deutsche Börse, the supervisory board, and an important business partner since Oct. 30 with false allegations against Payments Group and Chief Executive Officer Christoph Gerlinger, according to a Tuesday release. Frankfurt-based holding company and venture capital provider Payments Group said SGT's lawyers have also attempted to obtain information about the company without authorization.
