AstraZeneca Receives EU Approval for Pre-filled Pen for Lupus

02:29 AM EST, 12/16/2025 (MT Newswires) -- AstraZeneca (AZN.L, AZN.ST) said Tuesday its new pre-filled pen for adults with systemic lupus erythematosus on top of standard therapy was approved in the European Union. The pharmaceutical giant received approval for the subcutaneous self-administration option from the European Commission after a positive opinion from the Committee for Medicinal Products for Human Use. The positive opinion was based on results from the phase 3 Tulip-SC trial.
