11:28 PM EST, 12/15/2025 (MT Newswires) -- The UK entered a free trade agreement with South Korea, securing global supply chains and the automotive, pharmaceutical, and food and drink industries, according to a Monday release. Through the deal, Britain stands to increase its services exports by 400 million pounds sterling, gain better access to South Korea's growing financial market, and legitimize the use of e-contracts and other digital technology. Additionally, the deal will ensure continued and permanent tariff-free access across 98% of tariff lines. The contract marks the British government's fourth major trade deal in 2025, after that with India, the European Union, and the US.
