Mercedes-Benz Partners With China's Momenta, UAE's Lumo for New Robotaxi Services

06:19 AM EST, 12/09/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Mercedes-Benz Group (MBG.F) is teaming up with China's Momenta and United Arab Emirates-based Lumo to develop SAE-Level 4 robotaxis, according to a Tuesday release. Under the partnership, Momenta's autonomous driving technology will be installed in the German carmaker's S-class models, with Lumo set to test the first batch of the driverless shuttles in Abu Dhabi. The companies plan to launch the project in additional locations and markets after the initial trial run.
