Sydbank, Vestjysk Bank, Arbejdernes Landsbank Land Final Approval for Merger

07:14 AM EST, 12/05/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Sydbank (SYDB.CO), Vestjysk Bank (VJBA.CO) and Aktieselskabet Arbejdernes Landsbank received approval from the Danish Financial Supervisory Authority for their planned merger, meeting the final condition of the deal. The banks will register the transaction with the Danish Business Authority on Dec. 8 and Vestjysk Bank's shares will delist on Dec. 9, according to a Friday release. The exchanges of shares in Vestjysk Bank and Aktieselskabet Arbejdernes Landsbank are expected to take place on Dec. 12. The Danish lenders agreed to merge in late October and secured competition and shareholder approvals in early December.
