EU Commission Signs AI Gigafactories MOU With European Investment Bank Group

07:10 AM EST, 12/04/2025 (MT Newswires) -- The European Commission and the European Investment Bank Group signed a new agreement to support the 20 billion-euro InvestAI project for artificial intelligence technology advancement in the region. The memorandum of understanding will create a financing and development framework for AI gigafactories, according to a Thursday release. The European Investment Bank Group will also provide advisory support to the commission's review of the proposals submitted from the April call for expression of interest in gigafactories in the bloc.
