EU Commission Details Plan for 'Real Single Financial Market'

07:00 AM EST, 12/04/2025 (MT Newswires) -- The European Commission said Thursday it is proposing a package of measures for the full integration of financial markets in the European Union. The plan will tackle barriers to integrated trading, post-trading, and asset management; a regulatory framework for distributed ledger technology innovation; inconsistencies and complexities to supervisory approaches among member states; and the simplification of the bloc's capital markets framework. The European Parliament and Council will now negotiate and approve the proposals.
