Eni's Plenitude to Buy Energy Services Business from Acea

11:25 PM EST, 12/03/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Eni's (ENI.MI) retail and renewables division Plenitude agreed to fully purchase Acea's (ACE.MI) Acea Energia and a 50% stake in its Umbria Energy joint venture, according to a Wednesday release. Plenitude will pay a total consideration of up to 587 million euros at the deal's closing, subject to standard adjustment mechanisms. The deal also covers an additional performance-based payment of up to 100 million euros for Acea based on objectives achieved by the acquired business as of June 30, 2027. The completion of the deal is anticipated in June 2026, subject to approval from antitrust authorities.
