Afry Consortium Wins SEK118 Million Contract for Swiss Tunnel Expansion

07:28 AM EST, 12/03/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Engineering consortium IG AI won a 118 million-krona contract for a project to expand the Lötschberg base tunnel in Switzerland, consortium member Afry (AFRY.ST) said Wednesday. As Owner's Engineer, the partnership will perform quality assurance of the railway engineering equipment to ensure the project meets its capacity and safety targets, according to a Wednesday release. The project runs from October 2025 to December 2035. The Swedish engineering services group's share of the contract is valued at 38 million kronor.
