The German Chinese Chamber of Commerce 2025 Annual Forum was held in Berlin on the 4th. With the theme “Shaping the Future Together: The Next Chapter in the Sino-German Success Story — Innovation, Digitalization, and Sustainable Development”, the forum brought together representatives from the Chinese and German political, economic and academic communities. Chen Longjian, executive chairman of the German Chinese Chamber of Commerce, said in his speech that as one of each other's most important trading partners, Sino-German economic and trade cooperation has a solid foundation and has shown strong resilience and vitality. The two sides are evolving from the traditional “market for technology” model to a deeply integrated “joint innovation” partnership. He expressed concern about Germany's current trend of “politicizing economic issues,” and said that China and Germany have sufficient wisdom to turn the challenge into an opportunity for rule-making and institutional innovation. Minister Zhai Qian of the Economic and Commercial Affairs Department of the Chinese Embassy in Germany stressed that the Chinese side has always believed that Sino-German cooperation is greater than competition, that there is more consensus than differences, and that mutual benefit and win-win situation is the undertone of Sino-German relations. In particular, in the current complex and changing international situation, China's domestic and foreign policies maintain a high degree of stability and consistency, which is particularly valuable in today's world, providing more certainty for export-oriented economies, including Germany.
