Vår Energi Makes Oil Find in Barents Sea Exploration Well

04:33 AM EST, 12/04/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Vår Energi (VAR.OL) discovered estimated gross recoverable resources of up to 5 million barrels of oil equivalent in the Goliat North exploration well, located five kilometres north of the Goliat field in the Barents Sea. The energy company said Thursday the well forms an integral part of the Goliat Ridge appraisal drilling program. Vår Energi and partner Equinor (EQNR.OL) plan to drill four wells across the Goliat Ridge and evaluate its potential using extensive data acquisition and the newly acquired 3D seismic data.
